“A PLACE 2” is a work born from a moment of profound connection with light and the season of renewal. That day, nature was slowly awakening after its long winter torpor. From her studio, bathed in an almost blinding light, Kathleen Roby felt a visceral need to translate this moment into color. The sun, so bright, seemed to pierce the walls and flood every corner of her creative space.

 Driven by this luminous intensity, the artist allowed the shapes and textures to emerge freely, without resistance or analysis. This painting is part of a series of two works, conceived simultaneously in a dynamic of complementarity and dialogue. They both embody the raw beauty of the present moment and the simple joy of being there, in the right place, at the right time.

 With “A PLACE 2” , the artist wanted to celebrate light, warmth, color, but above all this fleeting state of grace where everything seems aligned.
