In EN MER DU NORD , Kathleen Roby explores winter atmospheres with sensitivity and depth. Inspired by a snowy morning in Métabetchouan, the artist creates a work with a neutral palette, dominated by subtle textures and soft contrasts.

 The whole suggests the fragile silhouette of a boat carried by a rough sea veiled in mist. As if suspended in time, the boat appears covered in a thin layer of ice, both real and ghostly.
