Located near the famous Ha Long Bay, this region is distinguished by its impressive limestone mountains, shaped like sugar loaves, that rise from the water.
 

 
 In this composition, the contemporary abstract painter translates the movement of navigation through a succession of gestures, materials, and symbols. At the heart of the canvas appears the suggested presence of a fishing boat, reminiscent of the small vessels that ply the waters of the region. The contrasts between dark tones, mineral hues, and touches of blue, turquoise, and ochre evoke both the depth of the water, the mountains, and the ever-changing light of the bay.
