Created on watercolor paper, BLEU 3 marks the culmination of a trilogy dedicated to the sensitive exploration of the color blue. In this work, the artist further develops her research, aiming to transform a hue traditionally associated with cold into a visual experience imbued with warmth and comfort.
Through a subtle interplay of layering, mineral textures, and luminous contrasts, the shades of blue deepen and enrich themselves, creating a profound and enveloping composition. The dominant blue of BLEU 3 evokes a soothing softness, comparable to a light breeze heralding the first chills of winter.
This work naturally concludes the HOME series, inspired by Quebec winters and the instinctive need to recreate a reassuring, intimate, and warm space, both within the home and in human relationships. BLEU 3 thus invites a contemplative immersion, where the gaze finds refuge and serenity.
